Mark Knopfler - Sailing To Philadelphia

His second solo album was released on 25th of September worldwide!

Official Video Presskitt!

As I have received the official Video Press Kitt of "Sailing to Philadelphia" I thougt it would be nice for you to read this review,
so you have an idea of what it contains.
The exact running time is 32 minutes, and it is on VHS PAL system.

It has been recorded very nice, and is in my opinion much better than the previous Press Kitt "A conversation with Mark Knopfler" for the Golden Heart cd.
Mark shows all the places he grew up when he was a kid. He is talking about these places telling what his life was about when he was young. He also shows the appartment where he and John Illsley were making the very first attempts of writing and playing the first Dire Straits demos with David Knopfler.

Mark is sitting in the middle of a lot of his guitars talking about them and the music. A very nice part is also the filming in the amusement park where Mark was inspired to write the song "Tunnel of Love". You can see the neonletters Spanish City, and Mark said that every day this park opens his doors, the song "Tunnel of Love" is played!!!!
You can see Mark playing some accoustic parts of "What it Is" and "Baloney Again". He is also filmed during the recordings/rehearsings of the song "Sailing To Philedelphia".Mark is very relaxed in this special and it is obvious that he enjoys playing in pubs much more than the very big gigs like on the On Every Street worldtour.
He is filmed talking with Steve Philips and Brendan Croker and you can also see him driving in his red racecar.
In Mark's opinion a race car and Fender have to be red!

Ok, I hope this gave you a good impression about the Official Video Presskitt
